Question 1

How often should a heat pump be serviced?

Accepted Answer

Most manufacturers ask for a yearly service to keep the warranty valid. A yearly check also catches blocked filters, low pressure and poor settings before they push your running costs up.

Question 2

Are your engineers qualified to work on heat pumps?

Accepted Answer

Yes - our engineers are MCS certified, so we know how these systems should be designed, set up and commissioned.

Question 3

How much does a heat pump repair cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the make, the fault and access to the outdoor unit; send the model, any error code and photos. Pictures of the outdoor unit, the cylinder and the controller help us work out what the visit is likely to involve.

Question 4

My heat pump runs but the house stays cold. Can you help?

Accepted Answer

Often, yes. Flow temperatures, weather curve settings and controls are common causes, and we check those before suggesting new parts. If the system was undersized from the start, we will tell you plainly.
