Air conditioning installation in Crowhurst, East Sussex.
An existing customer who has had lots of general plumbing work completed at their property asked us if we could help them with installing air conditioning in there living room as it gets really hot during summer.
We ended up opting for the Panasonic mini split, this was the 2.5KW super compact indoor unit in white with the matching outdoor unit.
The pipework was finished off with some white trunking and everything was tested with a full demo was given to the customer on completion.
This kind of installation costs around £2000 depending on length of pipework and other factors.
We are registered with REFCOM, fully qualified and insured to complete air conditioning installations.

Air source heat pumps - Are they the future?
Mitsubushi Eco Dan air source heat pump.
I am sure you have seen on the news that heat pumps have been getting a lot of bad press - from expensive installation and running costs through to poor workmanship. It is safe to say the industry has been in a bit of a mess with it but it does feel like we are turning a corner a little.
Engineers are starting to understand the concept and on an even more positive note we are starting educate homeowners on low flow temperatures , each time I go to a boiler service I turn the temperature of the condensing boiler down to around 45 degrees and my customer has benefitted from this with cheaper running costs. The truth is an air source heat pump would work in any home, as long as it is designed and installed correctly and this is where making sure you have the right engineer giving you advice from the off.
With the introduction of the £7500 Government Grant available to have an air source heat pump installed in your home in place of an existing gas, LPG or oil boiler then there is no better to time to start seriously considering this. The grant means you could have a heat pump installed for as little as £4000 out of your own pocket which is not far off the price of a new boiler and will future proof your home. This alongside the fact that the heat pump being around 400% efficient (around 3 times more than your existing boiler) means it really is a no brainer.
When having a heat pump installed you will need to think about a few things which I have listed below;
1) Where will the outdoor unit be positioned? This needs to be away from bedroom windows for example.
2) Where will your hot water cylinder be positioned?
3) Will your existing radiators need to be changed to increase the output? Due to lower flow temperatures sometimes you have to move radiators around or replace them to ensure the radiator is sized correctly for the room.
4) Will the existing pipework be the right size? Again most of the time the primary flow pipework from the outdoor unit to the hot water cylinder need to be in 28mm copper which is larger than they would be on a standard gas, oil or LPG set up.
This is why it is really important to ensure you appoint the right engineer to guide you through this process.
